BUKOO
GUAP

Trinidad-born, New York-raised. Rapper, producer, and the loudest thing in the room — BKG builds the beat first, then tears the stage apart on top of it.

Bukoo Guap was raised on two different rhythm sections. In Trinidad, it was steelpan and soca, carnival trucks, and a crowd that never stands still. In New York, it was subway bass, block parties, and a mic that gets passed around until somebody proves they can hold it. BKG held it.

He builds his own instrumentals from the ground up — drums mixed hot, low end tuned like a pan section, samples chopped until they hit like a whistle blast — then writes and raps over them himself, so the beat and the bars never fight for space. Every hook is built to be repeated back, every drop built to be jumped to.

On stage he doesn't perform a set, he runs a room: chains out, crowd on his count, energy that doesn't dip between songs. Off stage, he's back in the booth building the next one before the last one's done circulating.
